Hines Fischer is a Brooklyn-based furniture and lighting designer with an extensive design education background. He studied industrial design at Carnegie Mellon University and the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, and received a Master’s Degree in furniture design from ArtCenter College of Design. Fischer’s work includes a large portfolio of hospitality furniture and lighting designed while working in the studios of Yabu Pushelberg and later AvroKO. His work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and New York.
Fischer focuses on combining simple elements to create furniture that is useful, useable, and speaks to the user as a subtle emotional experience. He approaches each project as an experience design and considers humans to be the most important element when designing a piece of furniture.
