Internationally acclaimed designer Arik Levy and Bernhardt Design
have formed a long-term partnership to create an ongoing series of
new and innovative products. Born in Israel, Levy emigrated to
Paris where he founded L Design in 1991. His work covers a broad
spectrum of design disciplines including industrial, graphic,
furniture, product, interior and set design, and corporate identity.
Levy has participated in numerous gallery and museum
exhibitions around the world, and his work is included in the
permanent collections of the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris,
as well as the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
The latest result of Bernhardt
Design and Levy’s partnership is a
modular lounge system named
Gaia, which joins Milix and Prisma
in Bernhardt’s Global Edition.
Gaia expresses contours found in
nature and in Levy’s imagination –
which he says “runs on Duracell.”
Argon, his latest design, debuted
in Milan.
He was recently commissioned to create the office towers for the Cartier headquarters in Paris, and his current client roster includes:
Baccarat, Vitra, Lanvin, L’Oréal, Boucheron, Boutet, Gaia & Gino, and Baleri Italia. In addition to gracing the cover of every global design
publication, Levy was named “Designer of the Year” by the 26 international editors of Elle Decoration.
