Arik Levy

Arik Levy was born in 1963 in Tel-Aviv but at the age of 27 left behind his graphic design studio and surfboard shop for Europe. In 1991, he graduated from the Art Center Europe in Switzerland with a distinction in Industrial Design. After winning the Seiko Epson competition in Japan, Levy focused on his career as a professional designer and participated in several design exhibitions. Upon returning to Europe, Levy introduced his ideas, innovative concepts and installations to contemporary dance and opera set design applications staged around the world.

From his Paris-based company L design and together with his partner Pippo Lionni and their team of designers, Levy develops projects in industrial, interior and graphic design for the European and international market. His technical skills and creativity are reflected in variety of subjects and disciplines from product development, lighting design and corporate identity to packaging, point of purchase design, signage, exhibition, interior and set design. An innate scientific and poetic savvy with design innovation, simplicity and experimentation allows him to translate concepts into products, space and experiences.

Levy’s work has been exhibited worldwide in museums, alternative spaces, galleries and fairs and is held in permanent collections of prestigious international museums and institutions.

Among Levy’s clients at L design are Vitra, Vizona, Desalto, Ligne-Roset, Cinna, Seiko Epson Inc., Gaia & Gino, Boutet, Sentou, L’Oréal, Serralunga, Baleri Italia, Lanvin, Boucheron, Alon Segev Gallery, Belux, Elica, Ansorg, Renault, Tronconi, Sector Sport Watches, Designers Carpets, Tai Ping, Baccarat, Galeries Lafayette, Swedese, and Softline Allkit.
