After studying in Paris, Patrick Norguet was working with Louis Vuitton when his path took a dramatic change. Giulio Cappellini discovered and began producing Norguet’s inventive Rainbow chair, which brought him international acclaim. This led to opening his own studio in 2000, where he launched his career in product design and interior architecture. Norguet’s distinctive work combines intuition and precision, reflecting his ability to create timeless objects that are both innovative and functional.

Patrick Norguet embodies the essence of a designer with his collective and innovative approach to design. His keen observation of context, analytical approach to constraints, and respect for customs have enabled him to forge strong relationships with manufacturers and clients alike.
After completing his design studies at ESDI, Norguet was commissioned to design display windows for luxury giants Yves Saint-Laurent and Louis Vuitton. His work on Renault’s event stands further honed his skills in ephemeral architecture.
Norguet quickly expanded his design vernacular, embracing technological innovations in the furniture industry. In 2000, his Rainbow Chair, produced by Giulio Cappellini, garnered international attention. This success led to the opening of his studio in Paris.
His passion for industrial processes allowed him to adapt his style to leverage excellent craftsmanship and optimize production efficiency. His early collections for Bernhardt Design, Artifort, Offecct, Capdell, and French companies Alki and Tolix established his presence at international shows. In 2010, his design for a McDonald’s restaurant in France led to a global collaboration with the brand.
In 2014, he developed the new hotel concept for the Okko chain in France, solidifying his status as an emblematic figure in French design. Lending his expertise to manufacturers and producers of objects, lamps, and furniture, Norguet has worked with renowned brands such as Alias, Arflex, Artemide, Cassina, Emu, Ethimo, Glass Italia, Kristalia, Lea Ceramica, Pedrali, de Padova, and Tacchini. He is deeply involved in the production process, striving to create enduring collections, and demonstrating the designer’s role as an agent of change in services and lifestyles.
