Designer Spotlight
Born in Northern Germany, Andreas Krob studied industrial design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. His professional career began as a freelance designer in Italy, which led him to work in design roles for several major international companies. After moving to Switzerland, Krob founded the studio BK4, where his creative approach focuses on form, function, and the impact of design on various environments.
Andreas Krob
Born in Northern Germany, Andreas Krob studied industrial design at the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Kiel. His professional career began as a freelance designer in Italy, which later led him to work in various design roles with international companies including Thonet, Röder Haworth, Provenda, Samas, and Sitag.
In 2002 Krob moved to Switzerland, and with his wife, architect Uta Krob, founded the Swiss-based design studio BK4. Krob’s creative approach focuses on how each unique design impacts an environment and speaks an independent language of sophistication, form, and function.
