Raleigh Denim
With the mission to rekindle American craftsmanship, Raleigh, NC, natives Sarah and Victor Lytvinenko founded Raleigh Denim in 2007 in order to make the perfect pair of jeans. This artisan denim brand redefines the tangible connection between product and process and aims to revive the rich textile industry that once called North Carolina home. Raleigh strives to source most of its materials locally and works closely with Cone Mills in Greensboro, NC.
Every season, the Raleigh Denim “non-automated jeansmiths” handcraft limited runs on vintage sewing machines in their downtown Raleigh workshop. Each pair goes through a thorough inspection before being hand signed by Sarah and Victor. Leather patches adorn each pair with individually hand-stamped edition numbers. Raleigh’s classic aesthetic and tailored fit has become a staple of the modern American wardrobe.
In 2010, Raleigh Denim launched The Curatory, its North Carolina flagship store, thus propelling the brand into an editorial destination. With a thoughtfully refined brand assortment echoing Raleigh Denim’s own artisanal methods and dedication to locally sourced materials, The Curatory immerses shoppers in the increasingly rare production of handcrafted American design.
In 2012, Sarah and Victor expanded the Raleigh Denim brand’s unique perspective with the debut of their first complete fashion collection for men and women at New York Fashion Week and the opening of its New York flagship store in NoLIta. In addition, the pair collaborated with Bernhardt Design on Powerbar, their first interiors product for the home or office.
